working together for a safer community
Welcome to the Lewes District
Crime Reduction Partnership

The aim of the Partnership is to reduce the fear, incidence and the consequences of crime and anti-social behaviour in Lewes District.
The Lewes District Crime Reduction Partnership is made up of statutory and non-statutory organisations required by the Crime & Disorder Act 1998 to work together to reduce crime and disorder for the benefit of the community.
Statutory members include the Police, Police Authority, East Sussex County Council, Lewes District Council, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service and the Primary Care Trust.
They are joined by voluntary agencies as well as representatives from business and community groups to work together to tackle crime, the underlying causes of crime, and the fear of crime to make Lewes District a safer place to live, work and visit.
